Description
A debut collection of poetry by contemporary poet Jamal-e-Fatima and illustrations by mixed-media artist Hira Noor, is about revisiting pain, reclaiming heritage and rediscovering bliss in solitude. Each poem is a gem on its own. The imagery is deep, the essence is strong and the value is healing. Four themes in the book take you through where the poet has been, where she comes from, where she is at and where she is going. You're taken on an emotional journey that’s both fantastical and relatable. Let this book heal you in your life’s journey.See what Zarqa Nawaz, writer and creator of CBC's hit comedy show "Little Mosque on the Prairie" says about the book:"I'll be the first to admit that I'm not into poetry but when I started reading Jamal's inaugural collection I was hooked! Each poem is like a tiny, precious jewel. You're taken on an emotional journey that's both fantastical and relatable."
