A FeelTimes Dress for any Christmas Wedding

Prep-school teacher Philippa married Science teacher Adam on 21st December this past year.

I'm so flipping thrilled the couple hired our Little Book Wedding Directory member, photographer, to document their wedding in imagery.

"I wore a set of purple heels. They matched the embroidery on my small wedding dress and also the bridesmaid's dresses."

Philippa knew she wanted a non-white dress and located the perfect design within this beautiful gown.

"I knew I wanted a gown and ordered one using their website. It was perfect but needed shortening. I found an incredible local seamstress who altered the gown along with the bridesmaid's dresses. Having been wedding gown shopping along with other brides, I much preferred this more relaxed and less traditional look."

"I always knew I wouldn't wear a traditional ball gown wedding dress and I have always loved feeltimes dresses. I received a lot of compliments on my small dress. I felt comfortable at the time and am thinking about getting the dress shortened to knee length to ensure that I can put it on to other events now we're married."

"Adam and I met on the night out whilst at University in Leeds in 2008. Acer a couple of years of long-distance, we lived together in Liverpool after which London before moving to Norwich 2 yrs ago."

"We got engaged on 1st December 2018 – ten years towards the day after our first date. After being together for such a long time, we knew we didn't wish to wait to miss the wedding."

During the ceremony, the pair had an extract from Dolly Alderton's book, delivered like a reading.

The second reading was 'You Got A Hold On Me', by The Beatles – which was in homage to the groom's hometown.

Adam wore a dark green tweed suit.

"We found Adam's suit together and loved the dark green tweed scheme, for the December wedding. He also wore a set of oxblood colored brogues."

Philippa says her favorite area of the whole day was the ceremony.

"It was this type of relief to get towards the front from the aisle and find out Adam. I just felt so happy through the whole thing."

As for that groom, his favorite area of the day was when the pair had photographers taken following the ceremony.

"It allowed us to be alone and think about how perfect everything was."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Don't allow it to get an excessive amount of for you that you simply don't benefit from the planning. Don't simply do things that you simply are told or think you ought to be doing. Remember the day is perfect for you as a couple, allow it to be as natural for you as you can."
