Although PvP has been a component of WoW from the very beginning, it's an entire side of the game that majority of players don't interact with. PvE players who were trying to finish the Achievement were not keen on PvP. They didn't even know exactly what they were doing and dedicated WoTLK Gold players often became frustrated with the influx of brand new, inexperienced gamers joining matches for an Achievement. In the end, many PvE-minded players simply gave up on ever obtaining that Violet Proto-Drake.
The update to the Achievement will be popular and occurs at a moment when Blizzard appears more open to player feedback than they have ever, having made major changes to unpopular systems in both patches 9.1.5 or patch 9.2 of Shadowlands. It took a massive disappointing expansion and numerous lawsuits and investigations before getting there, Blizzard recently created a WoW Community Council that will help gather more specific feedback from players.
The next expansion for WoW, Dragonflight, will introduce the first playable dragon race that is called the Dracthyr in addition to the new Dracthyr-exclusive class the Evoker. The expansion isn't yet have any date for release.
