To I, Seattle seems intimately aware of the future, and is recognizing that they're going to be a bad team by 2022. I actually envy this about them. The team was able to round out their depth and have made an impact in the QB-rich environment in the 2023 Madden NFL 23 Draft.

Corral is a numbing loss in a waterway this deep. It also muddies the water as we approach next year. If you don't intend to start with him right away to test, then you're throwing away a selection now which makes it tough to justify a QB next year.

I'm not seeing Seattle being a victim of this in particular with still a lot of talent on the board. Kaiir Elam is present on the board, Skyy Moore is also available. What makes you skip on two future building blocks in order to get an QB who might not even be in the mix within the next year?

We're ever towards the Madden NFL 23 Draft and on Tuesday Todd McShay published his latest two round mock draft with some shocking surprises.

Do not get me wrong, I'm not trying to mix NFL 23ate "surprises" with "wrong." The things I'm seeing in this mock is likely to occur, and there's lot of logic behind every decision. That said, as an avid Carolina Panthers fan, I might spit out my mouth in the event Kennt Pickett is selected No. Six overall, but I'm not going to get into that.

McShay isn't the only player to see Walker climbing the ranks. On Madden NFL 23.com Charles Davis has him picking the first selection for the Jaguars. Yet, it's awestruck to see Walker choosing the second. 2 overall selection towards the Lions.

It's not that this would make a good pick, it just feels like way too big of a reward to me. Detroit clearly needs passing rush assistance and the ideal scenario is that Aidan Hutchinson is on the list for them -- but if there's no Hutchinson, will they be willing to give up more certain things at other positions to risk in the event of an upside defensive line?

Personally, I'm not sure that. I respect the pick, and believe Walker will be very good but I don't think the Lions are in a position to establish a solid foundation. I'd prefer to see them pick the top defensive player or wide receiver, even if it's not urgently needed, in contrast to. trying to force the selection of the pass rusher.
