A crime novel about murders in a very small town (in Western Sweden) as told by a fictional crime writer who represents a second generation involved in the crimes. While the tone is broody and the story feels a bit unfocussed and slow to take off, author Christoffer Carlsson ultimately delivers an excellent second half to the novel with first rate character depth and what amounts to a reversal of guilt and innocence.
