This is quite a murder mystery. I held my breath when I got near the end there was so much suspense. The rest of the novel moved at a consistent pace as the murders multiplied. Bradley's writing style is engaging though the narrative has quite a bit of character backstory, thought and reflection. This novel would be a good one for readers who like a murder mystery centered on the characters rather than primarily on action. Much of that emphasis on character has to do with why people are in this small town, often escaping from mistakes in the past.
